The Monti Guarantee: If you would like a refund, simply return your cooler unused and in the same condition it arrived in within 30 days of purchase.
If you've had a change of heart (it's completely understandable), or if you need to return an unwanted gift, please simply initiate a return or exchange in oureasy return portal. We're here to help with exchanges or refunds for unused items returned within 30 days of delivery. The cost of return shipping/handling will be deducted from your refund. Are Monti Coolers leakproof?
Yes! Monti Coolers are all equipped with a waterproof liner. Additionally, our zippers are water resistant. To ensure a tight seal of the top of the cooler, please be sure to utilize the roll-top functionality, like a dry bag. What about "sweating" or "perspiration"? Condensation is possible with any vessel containing items that are dramatically colder than the outside environment, particularly in humid places. If you live in a very high humidity area and experience a particularly hot or humid day and are worried about condensation forming on the outside of the bag, we recommend using Ice packs instead of ice.
How do I use the stuff sack?
The stuff sack is built into the cooler itself! The exterior zippered pocket IS the stuff sack. Simply reach into the pocket, grab a big handful of the body of the cooler and start to turn the cooler inside out, pushing the body of the cooler into the inside out pocket you've created. The cooler's convenient stuff sack is seamlessly integrated into its design, making it easy to store and carry.
Why I Built This
While guiding fly fishing trips in Wyoming and Alaska, I needed a cooler that was lightweight and flexible enough to fit in my pack for a full day of hiking upriver. Fast forward a few years in San Francisco, and I faced a similar challenge—whether biking or Ubering to the beach, traditional coolers were just too bulky. After hundreds of prototypes, I’m now a dad in Charleston, SC, juggling baby gear and two golden retrievers, always needing the best gear I can get. I gave this cooler bag to my husband for Father's Day anticipating it for summer trip to Hawaii and beach use. However, I've used at several times as it is helpful for so many occasions. I took my daughter and her friend to the zoo and packed our lunches, snacks, and waters and they were cold and easy to carry with the convenient backpack. I've taken it on various bike rides and walks where a backpack comes in handy for grab and go. Currently we are at poolside and have used this several times to bring adult beverages in incognito mode. We're so thrilled with this backpack that we're going to get the larger size for our Hawaii vacation to bring in addition for food/drinks on the beach for all. Many people have asked about our Monti as they notice how handy, well-made, and useful it is. It's a great looking bag and very functional to boot.
First time my husband put the SPF 50 to the test and it worked brilliantly. He is my copilot when we go off-roading/rock crawling in our Jeep and he is constantly struggling with the sun on his side, which makes the adventure less enjoyable, not any longer 😉. Thank you for a great product!

A very versatile and high quality bag. I use it at the golf course for drinks and just keep it in my car to use as a grocery bag or just to carry everyday items in. Ice remains solid in it throughout the day with no leaks. Looking forward to bringing this with me on my travels especially since it can pack down to a convenient size.
Brought my Monti cooler to Vieques, Puerto Rico for a beach day! Kept our drinks cold and sand free - plus it was super easy to throw it on my back and move with us as we made our way down the beach.
It's a cool, nice touch - but overpriced. If you want to use this as part of your brand and style - just include it. Customers would likely see this as a nice value add.
Overall nice product. Probably not worth more than $75. Quality is fine although one shortcoming - the straps. They are flimsy and don't stay secure around your shoulders. Don't plan to use this for a hike - maybe a short walk to the beach. The US emblem is a nice touch - but overpriced in my opinion.

We took the Monti Mayfly 14L Cooler on a trip to St. Thomas, USVI, and it was perfect for boating and beach days. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and kept our cans cold all day in the hot sun. A huge bonus is that it folds into a very small, packable pouch, making it ideal for travel. The cooler is also stylish, especially with our Clemson Tiger patch, which gave it a fun, personalized touch. Highly recommend for trips, beach days, concerts, and tailgates.
Clubhouse and halfway house were closed on Christmas Eve..so Monti to the rescue! It was perfection! Also it was kinda damp and we set it on the grass many times to swing and our light blue one came out looking like brand new after the round! So maybe it’s stain resistant? And some of us just swung with it on our back and that worked like a champ too!
Week long at the beach, it was a game changer! Packed drinks and launch and was cool all day.

What a pain in the ass! Trying to fold the “ice chest” into the little built-in POS pocket/pouch! I’ve been trying for 30 minutes to get it in but to no avail. I’ll see how it holds ice this weekend. But, as of now it’s on the send back list!

Packed our Monti cooler for our flight to Boston for a New England trip. Took it all over Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Kept our beer and snacks cold, easy to carry and pack for the flight home.
Monti travel cooler recommended by my friend is indeed cooler than your average cooler. Waterproof, light, comfy backpack straps, and unlocks legit TSA workaround- you can bring a full water bottle and a quart of frozen Greek yogurt through security as long as they are frozen solid. Even the 2 TSA agents were like wow this is so cool(er) 😎
I loved it at first. I’ve only used as a day lunch bag a handful of times for work conferences, so have not used for outdoor activities like many of the advertised photos being at the beach or lake as a “cooler”…so how the bag looks now is a bit baffling. It makes me question the quality especially for $130 at the time and that’s with the first time discount. I noticed there aren’t reviews of this color so I wonder if that’s why it’s no longer available because it shows more of the stains? Or if I just happened to get a lemon I don’t know? Very disappointing. If it looks like this now I can only imagine if I had used for outdoor trips
Store owner replied: A lemon indeed! We had 20-30 coolers of that color from that production batch that were treated incorrectly when waterproofing which lead to discoloration. We thought we caught them all but apparently not. We'll email you right now to make sure we get you a replacement! Beach was a seasonal color but we have Black, Sky Blue, and Navy in stock now. I just took my Monti cooler bag on a trip through three national parks—Zion, Bryce Canyon (pictured), and Arches—and it was awesome. I hiked so many trails with it, and it never let me down. I tossed in some ice to keep my water and electrolyte drink cold, packed snacks and a few necessities in a dry bag, and it worked perfectly. One of my favorite parts was having the cold water from the melted ice to cool me down on a really hot hike in Zion. The only thing I wish it had was the option to use a hydration bladder instead of just my Nalgene—hopefully that’s something they’ll add in the future. Overall, lightweight, practical, and reliable—this bag definitely made my adventures enjoyable.
I just love it! Took it on a trip and used it as a day pack. The insulation added protection to my camera and binoculars while keeping all my purchases dry! Easy back pack style allowed me to carry other stuff too! I will be purchasing more Monti for sure!

I am extremely impressed with this cooler, particularly its lightweight design. The ability to easily convert it from a backpack to a pouch made it exceptionally convenient for both air travel and beach outings. It kept our beverages cold throughout the day when stored under an umbrella at the beach. On the second day, we noticed that adding ice was necessary to maintain the temperature when the cooler was exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period—about six hours—which is understandable given the conditions. Overall, this cooler offers excellent versatility and performance.
Best. Cooler. Ever. Bought it for my husband for Father’s Day. He took it on a fishing trip in northern Minnesota. At the end of the trip, he was determined to bring home some walleye. Freezing it first, he used the cooler to pack and fly home to Florida. His flight was delayed, missed his connecting, and had to stay in PHL for the night. His hotel room only had a small fridge so he put the whole cooler in the fridge. The fish remained mostly frozen after 30+ hours of travel and we made the best meal from it, all because of the Monti! The Monti will travel with us everywhere we go!
Flight attendant here! I love this cooler so much. I work long-haul international trips, and don’t need a cooler on the way there, per se. But always want one for the way back to house my cold food hauls. This baby is a gem! Folds into itself so it takes up minimal space in my bag, but expands into a spacious, insulated carry-all for the way back. I’ve stuffed 5 bottles of wine inside from Lisbon, stacks of butter and cheese from Paris, and this photo was taken in Athens, where I packed it full of feta, olive oil and honey for the way home. I love the backpack straps and how they are removable. I generally use one and hang it over the handle of my roller, draped over my carry-on item. But having both means I can use this during a layover on a hike, a catamaran, or just doing my grocery shopping. Cinq étoiles! (Five stars)

Prior to the Monti cooler, I was the embarrassed mom putting field trip lunches in my hot purse just because I didn’t want to carry anything! I broke down and found the lightest, most comfortable, cutest cooler that actually keeps everything cold inside! I tested this out for 2 days on the boat and it delivered! I highly recommend this very portable lightweight non leaking, hands free, comfortable cooler!
Can I give this more than 5 stars? Not the beer cooler I planned for, but the one my family needed. I bought the Monti hip cooler thinking of cold beers. Instead, it’s become a mobile hydration station for my wife’s LaCroix and my son’s milk bottles.
10/10 cooler right here y’all. Light as a feather and small as a mouse when condensed, the Shasta makes traveling with a cooler a breeze! Also doubles as a chilled pillow at the beach.
Although it looks cute it didn't arrive in time even after paying for expedited shipping so we were not able to use it on our vacation. I will probably return it which is unfortunate.

We knew we were Traveling to a tropical island and were going to spend time at the beach. Packing was minimal since we were arriving in a small plane. This compresses down to pack easily. Its a great size and so far works great we freeze water bottles to mix in to keep beverages and lunch cold.
Initially I bought this for a disney trip, but now I use it for grocery trips too! Small enough when packed down and big enough to fit 2 packs of white claw!!!
Love love love this cooler! We use it basically year-round for any and all adventures. Bike rides, soccer snacks, bringing wine for a cozy dinner, camping, road trips... I keep it in my car and use it for groceries, as well. It's so convenient to pull out and use on a whim, but we've also filled it with ice and can count on it not to spill. The light blue color is beautiful and has stayed mostly clean. Several of our soccer team-mates have bought one after seeing how handy it is. Now I'm buying them for gifts so I can share the love even more.
Purchased the Shasta 23L Cooler before my trip to Malta and I'm so happy I did. I debated which size to get, but this was the perfect size to take on hikes, the beach, and even became my carry-on when traveling home. I was amazed at how cold my beverages & snacks stayed in the cooler all day long in the hot sun. I also purchased a lightweight dry pack for the clothes to stay dry in the bag, but the pocket on the Shasta was large and great to hold all the important items (wallet, keys, phone). As items were consumed, was able to adjust the size of the bag with rolling the top down. Highly recommend!
I love this cooler so much I am buying one for everyone in my family for Christmas. This is the only soft side cooler I have ever used that does not leak and it is fabulous to take on a trip where you don't have much room for extra gear!

Definitely kept things cold but the mouth of the Mayfly was too small and I had to smoosh things to get them in, such as a small bag of fruit, a small loaf of bread. I put nine items in: a small container of milk, small bread, etc. I’m traveling overseas and this won’t work. So I gifted it … to a very happy recipient! Now I’ll have to order another because the dang this is so darn cute; light as a feather and fit into its carry bag, straps and all. The straps are also light weight btw and have air holes. Wish they’d make a back pack or carry bag like this.
